Chapter 1

"Is he going to be all right?" Shalimar Fox shouted as she rushed alongside the gurney her father, Nicholas Fox was being wheeled on. He appeared to of been badly hurt. No one answered her, so she asked again. "Please." She added. "He's my father."

"We won't know until we get your father to the hospital, now let us do our work." The paramedic answered and Nicholas was rushed to the hospital.

A car pulled up just as the others were focused on whoever was lying underneath the white sheet and also lying on a gurney. A few seconds later brother and sister, Cassandra Jo and Charly Kane came running over to the others. Unfortunately it was just as the person under the sheet was being pronounced dead.

Charly looked at Brennan and asked, "Who is that?" His heart nearly stopped beating when he heard Brennan's answer. The dead person was his love. Emma deLauro.
